The Miss Kentucky’s Outstanding
Teen (MKYOT) Pageant's Princess Program
is for young ladies age five to ten years old (as of May 27, 2017 birth
certificate required). The MKYOT Princess Program is an extension of
Miss Kentucky’s Bluegrass Princess Program with a goal of mentoring
those young ladies who have an interest in advocating community service
and of someday participating in the MKYOT Scholarship Pageant and/or the
Miss Kentucky Scholarship Pageant. MKYOT contestants will mentor the
MKYOT Princesses. All MKYOT Princesses will participate in some aspect
of the stage production at the MKYOT Pageant in Louisville, KY.
Princesses will also be recognized in the MKYOT Pageant Program Book.
The
Princess will have the opportunity as provided by the local pageant
director and local titleholder to be a part of the titleholder's year of
service. She is encouraged to go shopping with the local titleholder,
to accompany the local titleholder on appearances, exercise with her,
etc. The local titleholder is encouraged to engage her Princess in any
activity that she can to make her feel part of her year of service as
she prepares for the MKYOT Pageant.
Each Princess is to provide
her own white dress (long gown, short party dress or “Sunday-best” are
all appropriate choices. The dress must be ALL white (no
rhinestones,silver, gold or colored stones and must be approved by the
Princess Committee) and appropriate for the age of the young lady. Each
Princess is responsible for her own lodging and meals during pageant
weekend. Also, each princess must submit a head shot photo by email for
the 2017 MKYOT Pageant Program Book.
The princess participation
fee is $ 200 ---After approved, a $100 deposit due with application and
the balance due and payable by the MKYOT Contestant Orientation on
April 9, 2017. This participation fee includes an Official MKYOT
Princess Crown (which will be worn onstage), a MKYOT Princess T-Shirt,
and one (1) ticket (Program Book not included) to each of both
Preliminary Competitions and to the Final Competition. This ticket is
for use by a family member. The MKYOT Princess does not require a
ticket for admission.
