On May 28, 2017, Abigail Quammen of Frankfort was crowned Miss Kentucky's Outstanding
Teen 2017. She is the daughter of Jeff and Charline Quammen and she attends Lexington Christian
Academy. Her platform issue is Read to Succeed. She performed a vocal performance of "Astonishing"
from the Broadway musical Little Women and received a Preliminary Talent Award. Her future ambition is to study
law and become a lawyer specializing in the entertainment industry.
Abigail will represent Kentucky at the Miss America's Outstanding Teen Pageant in Orlando, Florida, July
25-29.
MKYOT has partnered with Fund for the Arts to create more opportunity for the
students of Kentucky through the arts. Abigail, as well as future MKYOT winners, will serve as an Arts Ambassadors promoting
this program throughout Kentucky.
