2016 MKOT Princesses

The Miss Kentucky’s Outstanding Teen (MKYOT) Pageant's Princess Program is for young ladies age five to ten years old (as of May 27, 2017 birth certificate required).  The MKYOT Princess Program is an extension of Miss Kentucky’s Bluegrass Princess Program with a goal of mentoring those young ladies who have an interest in advocating community service and of someday participating in the MKYOT Scholarship Pageant and/or the Miss Kentucky Scholarship Pageant.  MKYOT contestants will mentor the MKYOT Princesses.  All MKYOT Princesses will participate in some aspect of the stage production at the MKYOT Pageant in Louisville, KY.  Princesses will also be recognized in the MKYOT Pageant Program Book.

The Princess will have the opportunity as provided by the local pageant director and local titleholder to be a part of the titleholder's year of service.  She is encouraged to go shopping with the local titleholder, to accompany the local titleholder on appearances, exercise with her, etc.  The local titleholder is encouraged to engage her Princess in any activity that she can to make her feel part of her year of service as she prepares for the MKYOT Pageant.

Each Princess is to provide her own white dress (long gown, short party dress or “Sunday-best” are all appropriate choices.  The dress must be ALL white (no rhinestones, silver, gold or colored stones and must be approved by the Princess Committee) and appropriate for the age of the young lady.  Each Princess is responsible for her own lodging and meals during pageant weekend. Also, each princess must submit a head shot photo by email for the 2017 MKYOT Pageant Program Book.

The princess participation fee is $ 200 ---After approved, a $100 deposit due with application and the balance due and payable by the  MKYOT Contestant Orientation on April 9, 2017.  This participation fee includes an Official MKYOT Princess Crown (which will be worn onstage), a MKYOT Princess T-Shirt, and one (1) ticket (Program Book not included) to each of both Preliminary Competitions and to the Final Competition.  This ticket is for use by a family member.  The MKYOT Princess does not require a ticket for admission.
