Package Shipping Information
As a security measure, all packages, cards, etc. for contestants are to be sent
to Boardwalk Hall only. Nothing
can be handed directly to a contestant!

deliveries, mail, and walk-in packages for contestants must go to
Boardwalk Hall’s loading dock, located at Georgia and Pacific Avenues
between 9am – 5pm Monday through Thursday, Friday
9am-4pm. Packages are not permitted to enter the facility until
properly screened. Boardwalk Hall Public Safety and Security will not
accept any package or mail that does not have a return address. All
packages will be fully inspected prior to being forwarded.
Processing will take an additional day before a contestant will receive
an item. Please limit deliveries to only items needed during this

9th. Packages will NOT be accepted on Saturday, September 10th or Sunday, September 11th.
All packages must be properly labeled as indicated below,
whether it is mailed or hand delivered.

baskets, etc. If organic items are delivered, the package will be
received, but it will be discarded and the attached
card will be forwarded to the contestant. There are no exceptions.

official 2017 Miss America badge/credential is required for certain events and
issued for identification and security purposes. Badges allow access to
Open Rehearsals (cameras are not permitted), the Miss America Trade Show and
Contestant Visitation after Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Preliminary
Competition Nights. For the final night of competition, an After Party ticket
will need to be purchased and details on After Party tickets will be posted
orders with complete payment must be received by
Tuesday, August 9th. All badges
require a recent photograph of the proposed badge holder. If the proposed
badge holder received a badge for the 2015 or 2016 National Finals, then their photo is already on file. All badge holders
must be approved by the State ED and must be in good standing with the state and national organization.
To order a badge you must complete this two step process:
First, you must pay $40 for the badge.
Pay via PayPal link below using your credit or debit card or pay by mailing your check (made payable to the Miss Kentucky
Scholarship Org) to Miss Kentucky Treasurer, Paula Elder, at 1056 High Point Drive, Nicholasville, KY 40356.
If mailing your check it MUST arrive by August 9th (not just postmarked August 9th).
Secondly, you must email your request for a badge to Justin
Rains, State ED, at firstname.lastname@example.org. Include with your email request the name of each person who has purchased a badge on your order, a photo of each person
included in your order attached in .jpg format (unless you previously received a badge in 2015 or 2016) and also include one
of the following affiliations for each individual on your order: Miss KY state volunteer, Miss KY local volunteer,
current contestant in the Miss America or MAO Teen program, former Miss Kentucky or state titleholder, guest of a state or
local volunteer, child of state or local volunteer, family member or friend of Miss KY. Please also note in your email
any requests for badges for individuals age 20 or younger as they will receive a special badge.
